In the world of universities and research, having the most appropriate equipment for experiments is crucial. Electrodynamic shakers have a major role in vibration and shock testing. They are used in laboratory simulation of the environmental dynamics. Furthermore, dynamic characterization of mechanical structures can be accurately achieved by electrodynamic shakers.
As Dynalabs, we provide small and compact vibration shakers from 5N to 440N. Our Permanent Magnet Shakers and Modal Shakers are well suited for academic purposes thanks to their unique features.
Why Choose Dynalabs shakers?
- Compact Design: They are designed to be both lightweight and powerful. Despite their small size, they have high DUT capacity. Our 20N and 100N models are high-quality and unique. They have an integrated amplifier and a sine wave signal generator where the frequency can be adjusted manually from 1 Hz to 12,000 Hz. For university research, having this kind of shaker is a perfect fit. In addition to their adjustable trunnion base and wide frequency range, these shakers enable researchers to perform a wide range of experiments with precision and simplicity.
- Ease of Use: The integrated amplifiers and signal generators simplify the testing process, allowing researchers to focus on their experiments.
- Reliability: Dynalabs shakers are designed to perform over the long term, withstand the demands of academic research and provide consistent results over time.

Permanent Magnet Shakers (10N, 20N, 100N)
Tests with standard shakers (PM shakers) can be driven at different frequencies and amplitudes. In these tests the test specimen can be directly fixed to the shaker armature and vibrating surface area can be enlarged by using a head expander according to the specimen sizes. PM-20 and PM-100 has an integrated amplifier and a sine wave signal generator.
Our latest innovation, the PM-10 shaker, offers a force rating of up to 10N and a frequency range of 10 Hz to 10,000Hz. An external, small-sized amplifier (SA-150) is used to drive the PM-10 shaker. Weighing only 1.3 kg, the PM-10 shaker is lightweight and portable, making it well suited for academic applications.
Modal Shakers (20N, 100N)
Modal shakers are used in modal testing to excite a structure under test to measure its dynamic characteristics. It is designed specifically for modal analysis and helps identify the modal parameters of the structure, such as natural frequency, damping, and mode shape.
Both modal shakers and impulse hammers can be used in modal testing to excite the structures, but modal shakers have some advantages against impulse hammers such as cleaner and more accurate measurement data, the ability to test inaccessible points, and the capability to distinguish highly coupled modes. Modal shaker testing is also preferred for less noisy and more accurate results in many industrial applications.
MS-20 and MS-100 modal shakers have an amplifier inside the shaker body so it is extremely easy to use and handy. Also with the help of the integrated signal generator, it is very easy to use to perform simple tests.
These features make them highly preferred for academic use.
